Although California isn’t alone in facing destructive wildfires, it has experienced eight of the ten most costly wildfires in the U.S.
In fact, the Camp Fire that burned through Paradise, CA burned more than 18,000 structures. The Woolsey Fire burned an additional 1,643 structures. In 2018 alone, wildfires destroyed more than 20,000 structures, resulting in $13 billion in insurance claims.
