Exciting News: David Pearce Joins the PE Team

We’re thrilled to welcome a familiar face, David Pearce, as our new Department Vice President of Federal Government Relations and Political Engagement. David has been a key part of APCIA since 2015. In his new role, he’ll lead our PE team while continuing to guide APCIA’s work on tax and trade — areas where his insight has been invaluable.
David succeeds Kate Carey, whose legacy of impactful advocacy and strategic wins continues to shape our work. Please join us in congratulating David on this well-earned opportunity!

Introducing P&C Champions: Your Direct Voice in Elections
Stay tuned! Over the coming weeks, we’re preparing to launch a new program that will make it easy to directly support industry champions. Your voluntary contributions go straight to the candidates who protect property and casualty markets, ensuring our voice is heard where it matters most.
As we approach the 2026 election season, the new P&C Champions program will offer a bold opportunity to reinforce our advocacy leadership. By connecting industry leaders with vetted candidates who defend market stability, competition, and innovation, we increase our industry’s influence and ensure a stronger future for our businesses and the customers we serve.

APCIA VOTES: Your 2025 Voter Toolkit Is Here

At APCIA, we believe that civic participation is essential to shaping the future of our industry and our communities. That’s why we’re excited to share two powerful resources to help you and your teams get ready for the 2025 elections.
First, our new TurboVote voting hub is now live at voiceofamericasinsurers.org/apciavotes. This easy-to-use tool helps you register to vote, check your registration status, view your ballot, and sign up for election reminders — all in one place. Whether you’re voting in a local race or a federal election, TurboVote makes it simple to stay informed and make a plan to vote.
Second, our 2025 GOTV Toolkit is now available! It includes everything you need to promote voter engagement across your organization: state-specific resources for New Jersey and Virginia, a TurboVote overview, sample employee communications, and shareable graphics. We’re asking for your help to get out the property casualty vote — please share these tools with your teams and encourage everyone to make their voices heard.
Together, we can strengthen our industry’s voice and make a meaningful impact at the ballot box. Please reach out to Ivy.Prater@apci.org for more on how to optimize your company’s GOTV efforts.

Stay ahead of the curve with APCIA’s Insurance and Policy Podcast! Hear directly from APCIA experts, industry leaders, and member company executives as they dive into the hottest issues shaping our industry and what they mean for your company, policyholders, and communities.

Save the Date: APCIA Federal Legislative Action Day 2026
Mark your calendars! APCIA’s Federal Legislative Action Day (LAD) will take place Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the historic Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C. This signature event brings together property casualty insurance executives — including CEOs and government affairs professionals — for meetings with bipartisan members of Congress to discuss the key issues shaping our industry. LAD is a unique opportunity to make your voice heard on Capitol Hill and highlights how public policy affects your company, policyholders, employees, and communities.
Registration details will be shared soon. For questions, contact Bridget Sewell at bridget.sewell@apci.org. We look forward to seeing you in Washington next May!
