Lawmakers in Boston are considering provisions in the Senate Ways and Means budget that would mandate a higher labor rate in our state, likely increasing auto repair costs which could impact premiums. According to estimates by the Automobile Insurers Bureau, the amendment would cost policyholders at least $57 more in premiums annually. Further, more total losses may occur as the cost to repair a vehicle grows to exceed the value of a vehicle.
