Florida’s Insurance Reforms Are Working —Tell Your Legislators to Keep It That Way

Since lawmakers eliminated risk-free incentives for filing baseless lawsuits, several major auto insurers have filed for rate reductions between 6% and 10.5%. But once again, billboard trial lawyers want to undo that progress by repealing Florida’s Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance requirement (HB 1181).

Let’s not undo what’s working. The 2023 reforms are putting downward pressure on insurance costs and increasing market stability. It’s not the time to make a U-turn.
