Tell Idaho Legislators: Stop Lawsuit Lending

Third party litigation funding — also known as “lawsuit lending” — is a growing, largely hidden practice that threatens to drive up the costs of products, services, and insurance across Idaho.

Under this system, outside investors, including foreign interests or hedge funds with deep pockets, secretly finance lawsuits in exchange for a share of the payout. Since the industry is mostly unregulated, courts, defendants, and even litigants are often kept in the dark about who is funding a case and where that money comes from. Recent reporting shows that some litigation funding is backed by foreign entities tied to governments hostile to the United States, raising serious concerns about transparency, fairness, and national security.

We need your help to tell your legislators to pass HB 646 and support lawsuit lending reform today! Please review and send your message to Boise today.
